About us
 |
 |
AIMgroup.co.uk is the UK's first affiliate network,
to offer optional incentives as part of a banner campaign.
We have worked closely for many years with advertisers and affiliates and know the shortcomings that
affiliate marketing can have.
We decided to create a program that would provide not only better tracking and counter banner fatigue,
but also give affiliates and advertisers a better deal.
AIM is free to join for advertisers and affiliates.
This is a no risk marketing venture, as you decide your level of involvement.
|
Standard Affiliate Network procedure
|
1. Web site owners display advertising banners
2. The banners are served by the AIM server
3. The user clicks an advert/banner and gets taken to the advertisers website
4. The user performs an action like buying a product.
5. The Aim server tracks the entire process and pays the website owner (affiliate) accordingly.

How Aim adds value through incentive rewards
|
AIM have created an incentive rewards site to give you the chance to reward your online customers loyalty.
www.smilescollect.co.uk works in such a way
that, "Smiles" are collected/earned for tasks like filling in questionnaires, requesting brochures and
so forth. These can later be redeemed for various prizes. Advertisers can choose to serve banners in the
conventional way like on other networks, or make use of "smiles" on banners to increase traffic. Users
have an added incentive to click on your banner to collect "smiles". As the AIM server tracks all the
transactions, it passes the relevant information to the smiles site, but only if the desired action has
taken place. The smiles site then credits the end user and assures his loyalty, resulting in a win, win
situation. |

AIM CPA tracking integration
The AIM tracking system allows one to track various events on the affiliate site. The many optional tracking
parameters give flexibility for the tracking action, and so give an excellent overview of the activity by
generating reports based on the specified parameters.
The functionality of the tracking system is represented by the following diagram.

Description
AIM allows 3 optional parameters that are represented with op1, op2, op3 in the query string. These
parameters can represent a User_ID, or any affiliate-specific parameter.
Affiliates/Publishers choose the banner they would like to place on their specified site and ask for
acceptance. The Advertiser will see the request , and then has the possibility to select between: accept,
deny, place on hold, under consideration and finally ended. Once a request is accepted, the publisher has
the possibility to see the tracker code for the creative elements. In all other cases (deny, on hold, under
consideration, ended) Affiliates/Publishers cannot generate the tracking code.
For Primary tracking AIM uses the following url:
http://www.aimgroup.co.uk/AIMTracker/track0.aspx?l=&pid=&sid=&s=&op1=&op2=&op3=&aid=
Parameter description:
l: when this parameter is 1 means a lead request
s: when this parameter is 1 means a sale request
pid: specify the Advertiser Program ID that was chosen
sid: specify the Publisher's site id
op1-op3: the 3 optional parameters
aid: advertiser ID
Example of UV link
Unique Visitor does not need "l" and "s" parameter there are only for sale and lead
http://www.aimgroup.co.uk/AIMTracker/track0.aspx?pid=1&sid=2&op1=&op2=&op3=&aid=
Example of lead
http://www.aimgroup.co.uk/AIMTracker/track0.aspx?l=1&pid=&sid=&op1=&op2=&op3=&aid=
Example of sale

The primary tracking system saves the clicks on the banner and creates the encrypted cookie for CPA. The
user is led to the advertiser page where he completes the Action (sale, registration, online order etc.).
The advertiser will have a tracking pixel or Iframe that is embedded in the completion page whenever the
action is completed successfully. This tracking pixel/Iframe is actually a link that contains information
about the action, and this is the point where the cookie saved by the primary tracking system is read and
processed. Finally all relevant information will be saved into the database of the AIM server.
For CPA, AIM uses the following url:
For Saleping track:
http://www.aimgroup.co.uk/AIMTracker/tracksale.aspx?v=&op1=&op2=&op3=&aid=
Parameter description:
v: this is the value of the transaction
op1-op3: the 3 optional parameters
For Lead track:

Parameter description:
op1-op3: the 3 optional parameters
